The World Science Fiction Convention (or Worldcon) takes place in a different city each year and gathers thousands of people from around the world for five days of activities and events. It is organized and run by volunteer fans for other fans. The 67th Worldcon in August 2009 will be in Montreal at the Palais de Congres convention center.  In addition to its Guests of Honour (which include Neil Gaiman), there will more than five hundred other professional program participants in attendance, including authors, artists, scholars, and scientists.  There will be panels, workshops, exhibits, a Masquerade, and other activities to delight fans of science fiction and fantasy.</content>
