Honestly, don't bother roasting your own pumpkins. The canned stuff, Libby's specifically, is the way to go, even for the professionals . I wouldn't have bothered, or even made the pie, except Tristan's school had a pumpkin decorating contest so there were these pie pumpkins laying around, staring ...

I am the classroom assistant for Tristan's kindergarten. In the sense that I'm the stay at home dad while he has stay at home kindergarten. Today his teacher read a story about how the electoral college works.

And even in a work aimed at five year olds, it makes no bloody sense.

What is that Cav? Chocolate? Sticky ginger? Disappointing Pumpkin. Even though they were fresh pie pumpkins, bland af. All the flavour came from the spices (mace, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, clove, black pepper). First time making a pumpkin pie and possibly not going to again. Not unless I can source...
